Onto the lawn I went,
The ball lying there.
I hit it with my mallet,
Towards the hoop it sailed
Over the short grassland,
In front of the hoop it stopped.
My opponents ball went towards it
But missed,
Up to my ball I went,
Tapped it,
And through the hoop it went,
This game was like that.
Every ball I hit went to the right place,
I could not go wrong,
I won that game with ease.
Into the second game I went
And once more it happened.
I won with ease,
Playing so well.
Into my third and final game I went
Expecting to win once more.
But this time it didn’t happen.
Everything went wrong
And my opponent played so well
And beat me easily,
This was not a problem though
We won the match,
But more important than that
We had a great time that day,
As both teams enjoyed each other,
Enjoyed each others company.
A great day was had by all
Playing the game we loved,
Playing croquet all day.

After a game of YOUR croquet I always feel that there might be a time when all's well with the world, Andy.
So glad you feel that way Dave, much appreciated.
