The P's of Poetry

Tristan Robert Lange

Poetry is personal,
Prophetic, powerful,
Pleasing, perturbing,
Pandemoniously Pandora’s
Pleasure package of pain,
Pointed processing of the profound,
Profession of protest,
Punching passivity while
Pacifying procrastination.
Poetry is people
Plying people through a portal,
Paper or otherwise,
Prepared through porous lives
Possessed by prodigious purpose.

Quite the feat to get it all in one poem!

    • Tristan Robert Lange

Thank you, friend! I didnโ€™t even intend to, but they kept rolling! It did get challenging once I realized I was going for P words. But, as the muse dictates. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Your time and feedback are much appreciated. ๐Ÿชถ๐Ÿ“œ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ™

Thank you my friend. Glad the poem resonated and delivered. It was weird how this one came about. Had the idea of writing a poem about poetry and then the pโ€™s started rolling. But yeah, it got challenging once I realized I was going for mostly p words. ๐Ÿ˜… Thanks again, Tobani! Much appreciated! ๐Ÿชถ๐Ÿ“œ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ™

Sheesh, man. Guess you had a fun time with that letter. Almost as if you've drawn up the framework for a much larger, fuller piece hereby, what a curious, intriguing, fascinating, pretty little number. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Yay! Double Fave: poetry is peripatetic. Poetry, like the peripatetic thinker, never stands still. It walksโ€”sometimes lightly, sometimes burdenedโ€”through time, memory, landscape, and language. To say poetry is peripatetic by nature is to acknowledge its instinct to roam: from mind to page, from reader to reader, from private confession to universal revelation.

This is so a powerful and creative !!!! The use of the letter "P" is clever and gives it a nice rhythm. Each line shows a different side of what poetry can be. It's thoughtful and interesting. Very well written dear Tittu โค๏ธ
