Yay! Double Fave: poetry is peripatetic. Poetry, like the peripatetic thinker, never stands still. It walksโsometimes lightly, sometimes burdenedโthrough time, memory, landscape, and language. To say poetry is peripatetic by nature is to acknowledge its instinct to roam: from mind to page, from reader to reader, from private confession to universal revelation.
