Jumping Through The Hoops

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Ever since my changes, I've seen many signs,

Found God slowly, now most just despise?

Wasting time jumping through the hoops,

Ego has fallen down, no longer a noose!

Buried and forgotten, the old me was rotten,

Feels like I'm wasting time for absolutely nothin'.

Different paths but still sharing some laughs,

Guess I'm thinking how much longer will this last?

A fun poem with good meaning as well. Some great lines (Ego has fallen down no longer a noose) It promotes that idea of change and how it does not stop here. Well done

"Wasting time jumping through the hoops, / Ego has fallen down, no longer a noose!" This is a fave, my friend. 🌹👏

Well, if and when the proverbial honeymoon ends, hopefully the relationship thus begun endures. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy, thank you for sharing.

Appreciate it, I wrote about a friend of over 10 years but I think the friendship is possibly over now.

Alas. Nothing lasts forever, as they say.

          Indeed.
