Best Friend Harry.

My lifelong best friend Harry.

He was very amiable chappie.

Give you the last five he had.

He was so happy never sad

If you asked him really nice.

He would even lend his wife.

Though if someone dared to

Mention the rug on his head.

He would thump you instead.

My friend Harry was always my best mate.

You could eat the food off his own plate.

Always help you whenever you’re in need.

Standing you right back on your own feet.

He had the heart and patience of a saint.

Always buying the best bugger the expense.

If you dared mentioned that zit on his nose.

Your warned the Saint is likely to explode.

Another set of charming limerick like poems that make for good fun and smiles in that they contain much of human nature that we notice but try to deny. Well written my friend

My la! I begin this hilarious week might last forever. You're too fun with these. Beautifully rendered with a disarming sense of casual speech which manages delightfully to rhyme, tinged by a delicate poignancy which lingers. Thank you for sharing.
