They arrived today;
This box, that contains
The sounds of heaven,
Composed by a young man,
Taken from us before his time.
I open the box with such joy,
Knowing that the ones missing
From the collection, I have been amassing
For more than forty years,
Is now complete.
Now I can listen in wonder,
At the absolute genius, of a man
To whom music seemed so easy;
A man admired by all,
Even his composing peers.
Which shall I play first;
One I know intimately,
Or one not well known to me?
I have heard them all, but now they are mine,
To enjoy at my whim.
I shall savour every one of them
In my life, if I am granted time.
The complete creations
Of the genius who died so young;
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

A fine write Gold.
Thank you Orchi.
You got the complete collections of my singing? I've had to give them away for free - no one wants them. lol.
So seldom lightning strikes and one sees it but all hear its thunder. So seldom that so many agree that one is a genius there always seems to be controversy, not in this case, I have never heard one say contrary. A wonderful poem that reveres him many years later on vinal or maybe CD.
So very true soren, as Sir Thomas Beecham once said " In music only the first note and the last note is important except with Mozart where every note is important."
