Aging

Maplespal

I feel it in my bones as I slowly crawl away.
Feel the passage of lost time from past days.
I reach ahead with all my depleting strength,
bend the knee and push with all my legs length.
From the beginning when I first learned to walk,
and forgetting the first words and first talk.
Now I crawl feeling bones crack with pain.
Getting older, everything is now a strain.
