Porch Poem

catlover01

I sit on my porch swing

Rocking back and forth

A plate of cheese and crackers accompanied by strawberry jelly

Rests on my lap

The stream behind my house gurgles along

I watch as a bunny hops through a field of orchids

Its silky fur glistening in the suns golden rays

Disappearing into the woods

And I

Rise from my seat

Returning back inside
