Be Still, My Soul (A Meditation on Waiting)

rrodriguez

Be still, my soul, and wait on the Lord.
Earth and heaven are waiting still
For their redemption.
Though time is sifting through the clock,
And your wait—laborious and long—
Has grown shorter,

Still, wait you must. But let
Faith take its rightful place.
Walk on as you have—patiently,
Without hesitancy. Let God’s
Holy Spirit know you wait,
And that the wait has been rewarding.
Be still, my soul, and wait on the Lord.

A call to patience. Now days no one has patience with everything on fast mode be it traffic or food even fun where if there is not major action in the first two minutes of a movie or two pages of a novel no one is interested. What am I saying no one reads anymore they can't find the time. Patience indeed it is a virtue. Lovely
