Verse 1:
Will you
Follow me
To the sea of dreams?
I am here,
Have no fear,
Protection is near.
Life is gone,
All is done,
Nothing left to see.
Why won’t you
Hear me out?
I wish you wouldn’t doubt.
Pre-Chorus:
Yeah. Whoa.
Chorus:
I know that you know
That I know that you know
That life must die
For death to grow.
Verse 2:
Walk with me
My love,
Embrace the dove.
Grasp the white,
You must fight,
You know I’m right.
Swallowed whole,
A hopeless mole,
Covered by the dirt.
A blinded bum,
Drinking rum,
What is it worth?
Pre-Chorus:
Yeah. Whoa.
Chorus (2x):
I know that you know
That I know that you know
That life must die
For death to grow.
Instrumental Bridge
Chorus (2x):
I know that you know
That I know that you know
That life must die
For death to grow.

Your song/poem carries a haunting sense of invitationβoffering both comfort and eerie surrender. Freaky Friday was one of our childhood favourites....ποΈππ»
Thank you, kind sir. Mine too. That and Parent Trap! LOL! And both of those have a remake starting Lindsay Lohan...just saying. Parent Trap double starring her! LOL! Seriously, though, I had to call it Freaky Friday for that reason! Love that film! Thank you so much for taking the time to read and support, my friend! ππποΈπ
Incredible video, music that accentuates every line. Death personified? Loved it!
Yesss! Death personified! Thank you, Bella! I am glad you enjoyed the video and it makes my day you get it! Much appreciated, my dear friend! ππποΈπ
I must say Tristan that your video was most impressive, great editing and what a voice. A fave for sure
Wow! Soren! I am speechless and you know well how hard that is for a poet! LOL! Seriously, though. I am humbled by your gracious words and am stoked that you enjoyed the video (especially the editing...one of my loves). It's always weird hearing one's own voice, but your words of affirmation sit warmly in my heart, dear friend. Thank you for your support, which inspires me in so many ways! ππποΈπ
I guess the funniest part to me is that both my parents were dreamers, yielding the world no less than seven dreamers to carry on the torch, yet I never considered that death played an integral role in the whole affair. I mean, I guess it was the death of the lives they'd been raised to live, yet after that I flounder. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a deeply haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
Why, you are most welcome, my dear friend. I am humbled, truly. And yeah, death does weirdly fit in, no? π Thank you so much, Missy. Your on going support and your very thoughtful comments make my day. Truly. You are a blessing, friend. ππποΈπ
Loved it the video really brought the song to life, I find it slightly dark and haunting but at the same time touching and beautiful, fantastic
Yes...indeed. All of those things! Thank you so much for listening, appreciating, and reflecting on it, my dear friend. Your support means everything to me! ππποΈπ
You are very welcome
Love the poem, love the song, love the video and love the voice. Four loves, what more can I say, my friend.
You are keeping well, I trust,
Tony.
WOW! Four loves from Tony is all I could ever ask for, my dear friend. I am humbled. Thank you so much for your time and support...always. ππποΈπ
I got in a huff about some hymns / choruses containing words like 'Hey' and 'Whoa' - far too 'common' for middle to upper class folk! heehee.
The sort of things Popeye says? lol.
TouchΓ©! Hey...whoa...did you catch that? Me either! π€£ You rock, my friend. Thanks for your time and support. Means the world. ππποΈπ
the poem "Sea of Dreams" revolves around the themes of life, death, and the cyclical nature of existence. It explores the journey toward acceptance of mortality, suggesting that one must confront death to appreciate life fully. The poet combines vivid imagery, rich language, and a structured format to explore profound themes of life and death, encouraging readers to engage with their own understanding of mortality and existence.
YES, YES, YES. This is it, my friend. "I know that you know \ that I know that you know \ that Iife must die \ for death to grow." Your analysis hits that very thread...that very truth. We must confront death to truly live. Amen. Thank you so much for seeing and naming that. ππποΈπ
You're so welcome, my dear friend,β€οΈπ
I'm gonna rave in me sheltered life, and say/sing things like Hey, Whoa, Yippee, Yahoo, WooHoo, etc. Steady on there, says Fido to me. LOL.
LOL! When you do...please post! I know Fido agrees! π€£
I might say Yee Hah too - ooh, but it's not a very 'British' expression! lol.
LOL! Well...I suppose not! LOL! How about giddyup?
Yes, giddyup, very top-notch. Tallyho, and all that English toff rubbish! lol.
Tallyho and cheerio, then! π Yeehaw! LOL!
I suppose we don't say Yeehaw in UK - but we have 'cowboys' too, meaning con-men. Doh! We say 'jolly hockey sticks' and 'spiffing' though. lol.
Jolly hockey stick and spiffing for the win! LOL! Fair enough of the cowboys! LOL!
