Trying To Be Honest In A Land Full Of Liars

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Ready to pull them out my life, pass the pliers,

Trying to be honest in a land full of liars.

Morals become warped, saw red flags,

Won't be dragged down even if your knife stabs.

Always an afterthought and pushed to one side,

Pointless making plans when all you do is hide.

I'm not stupid but become long in the tooth,

Excuse after excuse but who can't face the truth?

Some people do lie .. but cannot tell the truth .. and it can affect the other person ( when they are lying to you

  • Caring dove

Some people have a problem with it and maybe need some help with their lying problem

Some people even lie about serious things ( it’s not right at all

    • Shaunmatthewcpoetry

      Totally agree.

They do .. these people maybe need therapists or something

Some people think they don’t need help when they do

        • Shaunmatthewcpoetry

For me the therapy did nothing, it was all about believing in God.

Lies produced when they don't know they're lying:
Go for it man, go on the attack.

        • ElizabethMoroz

Profound exploration of truth amidst this Age of Lies. Enjoyed the depth and rhyme, Elizabeth
