"Love yourself," the whisper starts and ends,
For life's a breath, a moment that extends
Only to now; tomorrow's veiled and deep,
A secret no one knows, no promise to keep.
We never know what dawn may softly bring,
What unseen challenge, or what joy may sing.
All that we have, all that we truly know,
Is this bright present, where our spirits grow.
So cast aside the grudge, the bitter sting,
Let go of anger, cease its endless cling.
The past is done, its shadow starts to fade,
Don't waste your precious now on what's been made.
Embrace the fun, let laughter fill the air,
Love with abandon, free from any care
Of what tomorrow might or might not hold;
Don't wait for stories that are yet untold.
Cherish the friends, the hearts that truly shine,
Nurture the bonds, a connection divine.
And on your journey, bold and bright and free,
Let whispers of the world just pass by thee.
For life's a gift, so precious and so brief,
A fleeting moment, finding sweet relief
In cherished now. Live fully, with no fear,
With those who truly matter, always near.

A fave for the message set in good rhyme and meter it reveals a secret to peace and happiness hidden by the by the ugliness of the world we live in revealing the beauty of what is really there. A lovely poem of wisdom and the meaning of life.

A poem to run to when the world isnβt as it could be/should be. Comforting and inspiring ππ»π
Thank you so much for your kind words, arqios. The world I once knew has become bitter and mean; things are different.
"Love yourself," the whisper starts and ends, For life's a breath, a moment that extends". The opening phrase sets the stage for a wonderful poem filled with hope and love. Each line beautifully crafted in rhyme and flow. You have a gift of words that I admire greatly, and can't help but fav!
Thank you for your kind words, my friend Bella Shapard. I've always had a problem with overthinking; my brain just goes on and on.π
Your on and on is great, let it flow!
My dear friend, this radiates with such sincere light. It reads like both a benediction and a reminder...gentle, wise, and full of soul. I especially love how you frame the present as sacred ground. Amen. It is. Thank you for this beautiful poem. πΉπ A fave...easily.
Thank you, my friend, Tristan Robert Lange, for your kind words, and thank you for understanding who I am. It means a lot to me.
Dear friend, you are most welcome. I apologize for my delayed responses. Between an insane schedule and no internet connection, it's been quite a week or so! Anywho, you are most welcome. π
A lovely write of looking beyond the war, devastation, ugliest sides of today's world and seeing that underneath it all, there is a chance for peace and happiness, enjoyed the read

What a wonder poem about the ultimate emotion. Live life with those you Love.I like the rhyme it is meticulous and clever.Enjoyed reading
I guess you sorta remind me of my best friend's writing where she wills her body and etc to better than now. There is a sense of redemption in the seeming call to leave wallowing in misery off and go forth into a sunny new day. Lovely and sweetly rendered with gorgeous imagery and a hauntingly warming poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
