(Between my best friend and I we're always egging each other on to craft the hash recipe which is such a perfectly complete meal in one bowl and so delicious, we never quit.)
Well, I'll Be...I Never Guessed
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCDXVIII)
As if to heal what'd been upset fr'intents
Last Monday night, where both the kittens'd hail
Sweet time 'non sleeping on my bed t'avail,
How Tigger fin'lly comes back, in defense
Of all held dear, to once again sleep thence
With me upon my bed, the weeklong trail
To now a trial where neither'd dare for bail
Thus, until now, like some spell's broken hence?
The fragile balance half restored as twere,
I maunt be thankful 'nough, whileas the two
Bounce off the walls, and Tigger thinks in tour
What I am cooking might be worth a view
And taste. How breakfast hash takes time to stir
Up, and oh LORD, we thank Thee and seek You.

It gets better all the time, I guess.
Of Sheer Pretense, and Then What?
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMCCDXIX)
Call 'bout a problem with the ants' detail;
Discuss the strictures needed til we're thence
Uncertain where the kittens must be hence
Erm, stowed, and he sez not to worry, they'll
Be fine right as they are--himself t'avail
Both come and gone in half a minute, whence
What of our huge concerns? Twas all pretense.
They watched from their cat towr likeas to scale.
Rain forecast, now the pavement wears its tour
Of wetness with a shiny blacktop's cue,
My wonted half shift with an hour as twere
And half now left til I now wonder too
If I'll be soaked in leaving? Come, tis poor.
LORD, all is of Thy hand, I'll wait on You.

Cats never gave me much comfort when ill but the dog was quite empathetic. Another fun read
Oh wow, cats on the bed... I wondered if I had already posted the cats/sunbeam poem here at MPS... else that would be today's feature. And I have found over the years a niggling underground connection between rain/moisture and ants being present in and around those times. Hope all is well in the feline cosmos. 🕊️🙏🏻
P.S. indeed it has been posted up already: https://mypoeticside.com/show-poem-205524
so another poem will be featured in its place. 🐈
Thank you so very, very much!!! I enjoy their company and the indulgence but apparently not all do. And thank you so very much for giving me the link to your gorgeous pieces recently posted on cats! I love it! Thank you again.
Enjoyed the reads, no animals on beds please!!!
Well, not in yours anywho. Thank you, thank you very much, dear Sir.
You are very welcome
And there you go again, my dear friend, folding the sacred into the scent of breakfast hash and the bounce of cats off walls (I love your cats, just saying)! These sonnets flow like journal entries from a soul in motion, caught between heaven and furballs, grace and groceries. What can I say, Missy? You rock! 🌹👏
You're entirely too kind and sweet. Thank you so, so very much!!!
You are most welcome!
When I visit a friend here, I do wonder if it might be you in a completely distorted time/space way. Breakfast and the cat singular; only one, she's been...what's that word...done? Rendered in your inimitable style of sonneteering gastronomy and feline appreciation.
No, I've a pair, brother and sister from the same litter, whence I've the fascinating combo of a tomcat and female. My brother living with me noted early in that the tomcat is like guys ever are and vise versa the female. I've only one user at this site, and at other sites, whence if multiple users is what you're suggesting, it's not me. Thank you so very much for dropping by and commenting.
No - my error. By 'here' I meant where I live. My friend has many of your displayed characteristics. Incidentally the cat is a stray who lodges with her. Background a mystery, though obviously well socialized during her previous life. . My friend, BTW, immediately identified cat as female without close examination of the very hairy animal, and at that point no verification from the vet.
The literally funniest part of your suggestion is that, for 33 years now people have been occasionally assuring me that they know someone exactly like me, another girl/ woman who looks like me, thinks like me, etc. You've one as well, I see. Guess I'm as mundane as they come.
Nothing to do with your mundane Missy, has everything to do with my ability to recognise a female human over long distances, just as my friend could recognise a female cat without.....been there.
Don't forget I loves your inimitable style of sonneteering gastronomy and feline appreciation.
