Broken beyond repair.

Debbie

How do I stop thinking?

How do I silence the feeling?

I never believed—

Never wanted to believe.

I saw the well,

Dark and deep,

And still,

I chose to fall.

I fell,

And forgot who I was.

I fell,

And forgot I was afraid.

I fell freely,

Because your arms

Promised safety.

You made me live

The love I always loathed.

Oh, how beautiful it seemed—

For a moment.

I wandered through you

With my heart wide open,

And locked my mind

In the dark.

I went blind,

While your eyes opened.

You devoured my deepest fear

And returned it

Bitten,

Bitter,

Into my mouth.

You carved through my scars

Until they bled fresh,

Took my hand

And led me back

Into the nightmares

I fought to forget.

Now I relive them—

Each day,

Each night,

On a loop

That never ends.

My mind is quiet.

Too quiet.

And my heart—

My heart is still screaming.

You found me whole.

And you left me

In pieces.
