Epiclesis

Tristan Robert Lange

My jew’led, diamond heart has become a skull,
Sunken and hollowed—I close my sore eyes.
The darkness surrounds me but doesn’t lull.
Rain stick static—deep space pings—truth sans lies.

I feel a light descend, my worry dies
As it travels down the length of my spine.
It flares like the sun as my body flies
Through a vast galaxy named Intertwine,

Where the myths of the ages becomes wine,
Wrathless, pressed by vintage feet of God’s love—
It floods, beats life into this heart of mine—
An unfermented potion from above.

A message came through—to ignore is sin—
We must journey through the vast void within.
