Ghost

MatPie

I’m lost, I’m dead
possessed limb by limb
my body burns
savor the soul
leave me here
forget me here
taken hold in darkness
consolations & frustrations
an internal conflagration
will this go on forever?
a constellation of dreams
of my unfinished life
appears before me
I long to believe
in an afterlife
a reward to be received
for enduring a tumor
a turmoil of unending nightmare
only truth here lies
in the strains of desolation.

This poem sends feelings of pain and unanswered questions of loss and inequity that needs recompense. Nicely done

  • Mourgana of the Fey

Desolation like a dessert road where the unmet sand lies and waits perhaps for time to pass perhaps to become a path or a part of the landscape some day, a very reflective poem !
