How do you say goodbye to a dear friend
Someone you laughed with
Someone you cried with
You made memories together
How do you say goodbye to a good friend
Someone like family
Someone closer than family
You had fights
You made up
You hated each other
You became friends again
How do you say goodbye to a good friend
A pal
A companion
A heart of gold
With a devilish smile
How do you say goodbye to an old friend
Someone you grew up with
Someone you knew your whole life
How do you say goodbye to an old friend

Very well
Thank you
Superb
Thank you
Most Welcome, Tony!
Such a poignant question. Each will have to answer on their own. As for me I never say good bye just until latter.
Thank you
You are most welcome
I suppose you say good bye to the physical person, but the memories will never be gone. This is lovely!
Thank you
What do you mean? Is this literal or emotional death? My first best friend was my own mother, and I'll never "get over" losing her, whileas my second best friend moved 7 hours away [too far for us to visit every week or go grocery shopping together like we did for years] and blocked me the night before she moved, unblocking me 4.5 months later and now all we have is the phone, whether by texts or calls daily. You remind me of what my paternal grandmother said half my life ago when we were dining together before my dad and I returned home on the red eye flight, she said she'd not come along because she hated goodbyes. Excellently rendered with perfect imagery and a haunting poignancy which comprehends the exquisitely painful reality. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you
