For nearly Many, Many, Many. Years, our paths have run as one,
A bond unshakeable, beneath the same bright sun.
An extraordinary friend, a gift beyond compare,
A constant, gentle presence, always, everywhere.
Your dedication unwavering, a steady, guiding light,
Your deep sincerity, that banishes my night.
You motivate me daily, even when I stray,
A difficult companion, in my own uncertain way.
Your spirit lifts me, with encouragement untold,
A warmth unconditional, more precious than fine gold.
You ask for nothing, save my happiness to thrive,
A quiet, steadfast hope, that keeps my soul alive.
Sometimes I fail to see, the true worth you impart,
And harsh my words can be, from a troubled, weary heart.
Yet never do you waver, nor your patient spirit bend,
A loyal, true companion, until the very end.
My dearest brother, though by blood we are not tied,
Our platonic bond, a treasure deep inside.
A shining example of what true friendship can be,
My heartfelt thanks, for all you are to me.
