Is that a hint? As one that writes every day I might say that it is only compulsive blatherers that write every day. Just a little fun with a fun and most creative write my friend. I love your pushing the limits and searching for new ways to express poetry. Most commendable
Soren, your fun with my fun was most fun! A lotta fun innit? ๐คฃ Seriously though, I am pretty much writing something everyday myself. I concur! ๐คฃ๐คช This poem came from an article I read that said that โonly lazy people donโt wrote every day.โ Heck, Iโve been laid up with covid, surgeries, bronchitis, grief and can think of plenty more reasons (aside from death ๐) why one might not write everyday of their lives. This was just a fun pushback against that rather extreme blanket statement. And Iโm so glad that you found this fun and that it delivered, my friend. Many thanks! ๐โ๏ธ๐ตโ๐ซ๐ฅด
You are most welcome my friend
A very creative way of getting a message across, unlike me those who don't write daily might actually have a life, enjoyed the read
Yeah. I confess, I am like you too. But I have to push back against extremes and calling an aspiring writer lazy because they rest from writingโฆlike, really?!? ๐ Anywho, thanks for understanding the poem and super glad the message got through! ๐โ๏ธ๐ตโ๐ซ๐ฅด
You are very welcome
Erm, we know Popeye may not write every day, cos...... well, we know why he is busy. Oops! lol.
Alwyas busy while in a tizzy withโฆdonโt finish that! ๐คฃ
Regrettably, I can't get the link to open the active document, but perhaps that's for the best since I don't know whether it'd trigger me if it did. Who's meant to write every single day of their lives anyway? Lazy? That's a handy solution to squirming out of the fact you are lazy, simply retort that you did, at least, write for the day. Hahaha. Beautifully rendered in brevity though loaded with import, and haunting with a keen poignancy which remains elusive and undefined. Thank you for sharing.
Missy, I hear youโฆsorry the link didnโt work for you, but as my warning said, the handwritten/animated versionโs definitely charged and a bit intense by design, so your instincts were spot on. And thank you for taking the time with the poem. I truly appreciate your support, my friend. ๐ฅ๐๐ชถ๐ฏ๏ธ
Hello, Tristan,
I don't know who wrote or said this but he or she were definitely not, a farmer, fisher, miner or a hard working labourer, at days end, exhausted, starving - when fed, to bed without words wrote or said. I really love how you have displayed this poem, as if written by a mad calligrapher. A joy to behold and read. Great stuff.
Wishing you all the very best,
Tony.
We all go a little mad sometimes ๐คฃ. My favorite Norman Bates quote! That aside, thank you so much, my friend. Indeed. Your reaction was my exact reaction and so this mad calligrapher scrawled the poem out. I love that...I hope you don't mind I take that description on! ๐คฃ Once I did, I knew had to share it that way somehow, which turned out to be easy peasy! LOL! Anyway, thank you so much, my friend, for your time, support, wit, and presence. I deeply value your feedback, Tony! ๐คโฐ๐ฆ๐ช๐ฉธ๐ฏ๏ธ
I absolutely love the visual, it adds so much mood to it!!
Thank you, my dear friend. Glad you got to check it out. Yeah the mood (an maybe a headache) are for sure added! But for me, I find it hypnotic almost! So glad it delivered!
Very true insight Tristan. I like the imagery of the written format that works like a visual exclamation of outrage at the statement. Very interesting indeed my friend. It makes me wonder so much about the writing process, the creative processs and how itโs so different for each individual. I love seeing visual diary format expressed in this manner. Elizabeth ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ
Yay! Thank you so much, Elizabeth! Yeah, I hand wrote it in Apple Notes and then thought, "jee, why not post a 'handwritten' poem?" and then, of course, I couldn't just leave it there...had to doodle too! LOL! So glad that it delivered and that you found the format effective. I am sure I will do it again at some point. Thanks again! ๐น๐
creativity at its best in a new form - wonders will never cease - as more talents are revealed
beautifully expressed
Thank you, my friend! Glad it delivered! Have a great day. ๐ค๐๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฆโโฌ
always welcome - keep them coming
I like seeing the 'still' drawing...
So, I got curious...and, wanted to see the 'animated' GIF...; but, didn't really note a whole lot of difference. Just a 'blinking' effect going really 'fast'...showing 'white/black...white/black'/-etc.
I liked the GIF, and you have quite lovely handwriting for having been written electronically!
