Sanity

Alan R

A peaceful indifference

Knocking at my door

I couldn’t answer yet

Slipped on my messy floor

Of what ifs and thank Gods

I can’t believe this real

The knocks don’t fade

And fear gets surreal

This is a new paralysis

That ends in sanity

After this neurotic delay

Of acceptance, of vanity.

Clever wording in a poem of meaning. Nicely written
