Poems can be coaxed but they can't be forced
Just like you can't push molasses
Don't remember where I learned that, of course
But its quite clear even through my slightly smudged glasses

Hahaha, you remind me of the other night last week when I and two other poetesses were hanging out, tis very true, which I wish more artists understood. Inspiration is akin to a horse: you can try to force it to little or no avail; or you can give the horse his head and see where he takes you. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a fun poignancy.
Thanx so much for your kind comments. It turns out that I was wrong. This whole thing started when I decided to "push out" a poem. More usually they just sort of come tome. Who knew?
Guess it's every artist's journey to discovery.
Oh yes so true poetry like love can not be forced, it can be faked but it comes through. Very nice
Thanx, SB.
You are welcome
A great write, the one's that are forced always end up weaker, if it flows naturally it will appear more honest, genuine and have more emotion, clevet write, enjoyed the read
Thanx, PL.
You are very welcome
