Reality is in our heads
Perception is the window
Through which we view it
It is the mind
That interprets it
But it is the psyche
That reacts to all
That is intrinsically connected
To understand this complex being
Is a life long journey of discovery

Good write B, though KP of course says SHE is the only reality! She would say that. lol.
You know her so well. Thank you my friend.
Deeply psychological this poem begins with sensation, perception, interpretation, to reaction. mistaken perception, misunderstood may lead to unexpected reactions and such chaos is difficult to comprehend from the outside. People and their actions so difficult to predict a life long effort and still not even close. A lovely write Bella and a fave
Thank you for this wonderfully intuituve comment, and your fave is greatly appreciated. Our very existence is such a puzzle at times.
You are most welcome Bella

From taste to react....
Thank you for reading and commenting, always appreciated!
A lovely write of the complexities of our long journey, how we see or not see things, how we interpret sometimes wrongly, and the consequences of our actions we rightly or wrongly decide to take, enjoyed the read
So glad that you enjoyed, thank you for your kind words.
You are very welcome
A very thoughtful and reflective piece, Bella. The inward turn toward perception and psyche gives it depth, and that final line...fro real! Truly, an excellent job, my dear friend. 🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you my dear friend. Your words are always encouraging, and it is a pleasure to share this space with you.
You are most welcome. The feeling is mutual indeed.
Your poem is an exploration of human perception and the intricate relationship between reality, the mind, and the psyche. The poem suggests that reality is subjective, experienced through individual perception, and emphasizes that understanding oneself is a lifelong journey.
Excellent my friend, thank you so much for this wonderful comment!
Riddle me this. Is it just a simulation? Nice write.
Actually, I'm beginning to think that it is. Who came up with this algorithm of life, I wonder. Thank you for your delightful comment!
Fine words Bella, we learn new things all the time.
Andy
I suppose we must be open to new things, it is our destiny. Thank you Andy!
Hello, Bella,
Where the psychological meets the philosophical at the crossroads of the psyche and that everyday question in the reality of the moment; which road to take, be it minute or grand in the journey of life. This is a splendidly composed verse, intelligent, insightful and intricate, and your poetic expression is most admirable. It's a perfect unpunctuated, unadulterated gem.
Wishing you all the very best,
Tony.
The insight and eloquence of this comment literally blows me away! Thank you so much, I am learning from the master.
Poignant thought process. I think it boils down to experience to decipher the subject at hand. Thank you for sharing. It is thought provoking.

Modern poetic philosophy and psychology all condensed into a beautifully written observation on the difference between perception and reality as well as dealing with the notion of the psyche and how we process it all as human beings . You are extremely intelligent and thoughtful Bella! It is a pleasure to read your work. Sincerely, Elizabeth
