Wise Man Say (22)

Poetic Licence

Notice of absence from Poetic Licence
Now is the time.

Wise Man Say (22).

If you keep looking back

You will never see what

Is in front of you.

Wise Man Say.

Do not beat around

The Bush

Trim it instead.

Wise Man Say.

If you fear the

Dark.

Do not hide in the

Cupboard.

Wise Man Say.

We are all born with

A voice.

Do not condemn yours too

A lifetime of

Silence.

Wise Man Say

Remember you are not

Different.

You are an individual.

Wise Man Say.

Mistakes can be a positive

Thing.

But only if you learn

From them.

You know how much I love this series, Tobani. In this one, the line about not condemning your own voice really stood out. We all do that, though, don't we? At least I have been known too...outside of poetry, of course...and even there for a time. Wise advice. Truly, an excellent job, my dear friend. 🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

We are guilty of that one, I find that strange because the voice is the most powerful thing we have.Thank you for your continued following of the Old codgers ramblings, enjoy the rest of your day

                  • Cheeky Missy

You're too fun and too clever, offering poignant tidbits of good sense in morsels which seem not unlike the "spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!" doctrine. Excellently rendered with lovely imagery and a delightful humour to offset the weightier poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

You likewise. Well, I thought they were laced excellently with a sense of humor/humour.
