Behind locked doors, windows bared, lies a mind marred
A painter with no hands, deaf mute no one understands
But with nary a smile the green grass does all beguile
And without a word we're charmed by the song of a bird
When eggs are stacked some get cracked
A chick emerges from a shell that looks like hell
While in the pan scrambled eggs for mercy begs
Don't throw them out inside voices plead against our doubt

Powerful and thought-provoking, this reminds us not to judge too quickly or discard what we don’t fully understand. Nicely done 👍
Thank you so much for reading Salvia it is most appreciated.
Dont discard people just because they look different or you don't understand them, try getting to know the person inside the shell you don't like the look off, nicely expressed and written, enjoyed the read
Thank you Tobani as always your support and encouragement are most important to me
You are very welcome
Don’t throw anything away. You never know the gift within. Hidden life waits in broken things. A crack can let new light through. Silence can still sing its song. Small wonders shine without words. Listen to the quiet voices. Believe in unseen potential. Something to take to heart every moment of every day.
Thank you so much Cryptic you are so right. We all are different and it is these differences that make life beautiful. I appreciate your words of support and encouragement
I am compelled to express my admiration for this remarkable poem. It has a profound impact, conveying a message that is both powerful and moving. The imagery is exquisite, creating a picture that is both beautiful and unforgettable. To me, your poem seems to explore themes of creativity, communication, and the fragility of life. It highlights the struggles of those who may be marginalized or misunderstood, as well as the beauty found in nature and the cycle of life and death. You painted rich with imagery. Like "a painter with no hands," "deaf mute no one understands," and "the song of a bird," these phrases create vivid pictures and emotional resonance. The use of contrasts, such as "green grass" and "a shell that looks like hell," emphasizes the dichotomy between beauty and suffering. It seems to serve as a reminder to appreciate the depth and potential within all beings and things, advocating for empathy and understanding in a world that often overlooks the intricate stories behind appearances.
Thank you Friendship your last few words captured my heart. Guilty myself of overlooking and misunderstanding what lies inside others I have made terrible choices in the past. Eyes now open I try not to judge others but look for what lies inside. We are incapable of completely understanding what is there and they deserve the benefit of any doubt. I appreciate your interpretation and understanding words of encouragement
You're incredibly welcome, my friend, We're all human. I firmly believe everyone yearns to be heard. We all need to pause and truly listen. Have a wonderful weekend, Sorenbarrett❤️
Aaahhhh if we could only save everything and everyone........
Not possible but if we could only understand better and care more. Thank you so much for the read and kind words
BRAVO
Thank you Tony it is appreciated.
You're welcome
Excellent, Soren, well put, well composed with compassion and dignity. The world is full of beautiful imperfections where perfection lies within. 'Don't judge a book...', as the saying goes. A poem filled with great understanding. Well done, my friend.
Fond regards,
Tony.
Thank you so much Tony I have worked with many disabled and wo often they are underestimated. Worked with a severely retarded man that couldn't even speak. Once he walked away from the institution and and despite efforts was not found for a week. He had hitch hiked across three states to the home of a relative he hadn't seen in over 35 years. How he even remembered the way God only knows. Very much appreciate your reviews and kind words
