Onto the stage they came,
Drummer bassist and pianist.
Then two young ladies,
One a singer
The other playing saxophone.
Jazz rung out in the club,
Wonderful music,
Scat singing as well.
So wonderful to see it,
To see jazz performed,
Performed by them,
By these two ladies.
Jazz is not dying
As these wonderful ladies
Will keeping it going.
Jazz will always be here
As long as it is with them,
With the young people.

- Comment from author about the poem: We went to the Jazz Club last night and saw the Emily Masser/Alex Clarke Quintet. The two ladies were both in their twenties and they were wonderful. JAZZ WILL SURVIVE.
