Leap!
The small precipice you stand on
Is a pebble to the mountain
In front.
Though you've strained, stretched
Life, searching for refreshed success,
The summit's peaked.
Begin.
Leap.
13 years trekking the trail
As a small candle, lighted to fail.
Tuning, burning low to the earth with every hail-
-Storm which surges forth,
And every wind, breeze, and breath.
Only in perfect conditions did you find success.
Leap!
Trust in me, as I want to trust in you.
I've brought you this far, don't be blue
But rejoice at the choice of going further,
Deeper, towards depths unimagined in your flame.
Now, don't flare up bright, but burn deep
Cores, red hot with devotion, unquenched
By the storms of this world, but fed,
Longing to be ripped through to shreds,
Just to stand back unshaken, grounded in me.
Leap!
I won't push you over the edge,
But the winds will keep blowing stronger.
The details you've seen me cover,
Now all you must do is
Leap.

- Comment from author about the poem: I read Eveylnns Then and Now and though it is unrelated to this poem I started reflecting and this is what I think has been bubbling inside for a while, and I thank Eveylnn for being the catalyst for it being able to boil and bring goodness, if it may be so for the reader. God Bless, Spencer J. Wilhelm.
