Hidden from view and from eyes that recall,
Away from books on shelves by the wall,
Or from noisy kitchens with telephone calls,
And far from the traffic of the rooms by the hall,
Sits an object in wait for the one to enthrall.
The day is fading it’s time for nightfall,
When the lady walks in with a Burberry shall,
Takes it off her neck for the couch to befall,
For the thing she just saw made her busy day stall,
Wondering what in the world could be that small,
Wrapped in a parcel with ribbon and all,
Then with joy she yelped in her Texas drawl,
“There’s a ring in the box! Come over here ‘y’all!”
A proposal came that evening from Paul,
They got married, in love, and it was magical.

A clever use of monorhyme in a longer poem, not always easy to find that many rhyming words that fit. Nicely done
