Married

Spencer Wilhelm

To be

Who he

Is.

Not what

He ought

Or thought

He is.

Frantic,

Fanatic,

Lover

Of her;

Consumption

To consummation,

To complete communion

With her.

Why, he has the world!

Can it really be

He

Found it through a girl?

They says that through Him

Is there

Such bliss;

So I wonder

Whether I'll ever

Be

As he

Is.

    Fascinating and rather intriguing, curious, rather. I remain undecided. Rendered in tasteful brevity with a far deeper message than its size would suggest. Thank you for sharing.

    A wish to be as someone else but not sure that that will ever happen. A fun read

  • Poetic Licence

    A sense of wanting to be another person, but as they really are and not what they pretend to be. I feel a question of sexuality being raised and does marriage really bring around bliss, enjoyed the read

    But none saith, where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night;
    (And wifes to love, as our own bodies). Nice work.

    It is enough for the disciple to be as his master, and the servant as his lord.
