Safe Haven

Nicole Pritchard

My day begins and ends with you

A safe haven, where I rest anew

In your embrace, I find my peace

A place to lay my worries, release

You shield me from life's stormy night

A protector, a gentle, loving light

Each morning, I wake by your side

Grateful for the love that you provide

But when my mind starts to stray

And dirty thoughts begin to play

I remind myself, this is my nest

My bed, where love and rest are best

In your comfort, I find my reprieve

A place to call my own, where I can breathe

So let me linger, let me stay

In the safety of your loving way

A poem of one finding their nest and preferring the safety of it over adventure of the world. Nicely written
