1.

It was live a little, love a little

when I was having fun in Acapulco

but it became such a night

when the spinout on the speedway

                                                                          brought me double trouble.

At the jailhouse they took away my shoes.

I say easy come, easy go

but now I’m on the loose

and I can’t follow that dream

‘cause my blue moon turned to gray

and I’m running wild in the country every day.

Extra clues -  old shep, wooden heart

2.

  • When the precarious orb lost her berets of ice

When her mitigation of the light no longer prevailed

The mountains spewed their blistering ashes skyward

The great continents shook and began to crumble

When darkness enshrouded the early morning clouds

Thereafter the hot ovens of man split asunder

The reawakened and insatiable power grew

The seven oceans and all lakes began to seethe

The fire of the devil was set free upon the land

Fire widened to embrace all of the known and peoples.

Like the Sun, the world will then burn and glow forever

The time of Man will have reached its natural end

Frankly, the coronation of Charles was no big deal.

Sure, Pope Leo was there, and there was Caroling.

Named after his grandfather, he inherited his kingdom.

and expanded it upon the deaths of siblings.

The Lombards, the Saxons, but no Basques.

“The Father of Europe” was a great politician as well.

With four official wives, four concubines

and 18+ children, he had to be.

“Mon Homme” Maurice, neither alive.

Casino de Paris 1895.

Risque routines, yet self- assured.

$1,000,000 Legs insured.

1908 Apache’ dance, her and Max.

Shocking, but huge crowds it attracts.

Wearing self-made towering chapeaus.

Highest paid woman, but never a trousseau.

5.

He was playing the Lyre while singing by the fire.

His Mother’s death was a case of ‘murder-for-hire’.

Emperor too soon. Destined for doom.

He died on the 9th of June. A mausoleum for a tomb.

His name was erased. His statues defaced.

Otho restored some to please the populace.

Extra clues - The year of the 4 Emperors, Agrippina the Younger
