Driving To The Moon.

Goldfinch60

Out from the theatre we came

After an afternoon and evening

Filled with jazz,

Into the car we got

And I drove home.

We reached the country road

And the beautiful full moon was there,

There in front of us.

And all the way home

I drove towards the moon,

As if it was showing us the way.

Such a wonderful sight

Bringing dreams of wonder,

Wonder and beauty to my mind,

What a wonderful drive

Filled with light and love.

Sometimes nature aligns the stars, even the moon, to light our way. Very picturesque Andy

Felt the harmony, your day heightened to a new level by the moon's presence; conveyed beautifully in your piece, Andy.

Lucky you! I stepped out for my early morning walk today, and there was the full moon glowing, it took my breath away. I can fully understand why you had to write this poem, and so very glad you did. I have to thank you for the Diana Krall video of Fly Me To The Moon. I found it on You Tube with lyrics, and I can't wait to play it in my Thursday music group at the nursing home so we can all sing it together. A very Happy Sunday my friend!

              • Goldfinch60

Thank you for your kind words Bella, I am sure the music group will enjoy the music.
