Driving To The Moon.

Goldfinch60

Out from the theatre we came

After an afternoon and evening

Filled with jazz,

Into the car we got

And I drove home.

We reached the country road

And the beautiful full moon was there,

There in front of us.

And all the way home

I drove towards the moon,

As if it was showing us the way.

Such a wonderful sight

Bringing dreams of wonder,

Wonder and beauty to my mind,

What a wonderful drive

Filled with light and love.

  • Comment from author about the poem: We went to an annual jazz day, a wonderful time was had but coming home I cannot remember ever driving with the moon in front of me as it was last night, all the way home.
