to speak too soon

gray0328

the child throws stones at wind

without knowing where they land

the untrained tongue shudders loud

mistaking noise for strength

fools rush like rivers unchecked

drowning wisdom in their wake

the wise are not silent out of fear

but out of understanding

a pause stretches like open arms

inviting patience to sit beside it

when anger knocks, the door stays closed

reflection becomes a house of safety

to think twice is no hesitation

it is building bridges over fire

the loudest are not always heard

their echoes lost in their own storms

Advice worth contemplating... though I fear I may be a lost cause...
