The Unveiling

Tristan Robert Lange

Reckoning strikes in a flash,
Electric torrents of searing truth
Vertically poised—jolting—
Every atom burning lightning blue,
Love will no longer surrender to
Amoral anarchy in avaricious hearts.
Truth is transcendent transfiguration,
Inviting all into the fold, thrice
Over, with only this condition:
Neglect your noxious nature—live Love.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is the fifth vision in The Book of Tittu โ€” a cycle of eight poems bound by a single, unflinching voice. Here, the veil is torn back, truth strikes like a storm, and the invitation is clear: transformation is the only way forward.

[The last decent boyfriend I had too many years, nay, decades ago, had your first name. Curious.] Forsooth, I believe the way the Scriptures put it is something like, "He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." (Prov 29:1) Guess that leaves discussion out of the picture. After that you leave me uncertain, the message at odds seemingly with the same quote. Excellently rendered with superb imagery and a deeply haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, dearest Missyโ€ฆI really appreciate you tying this to Proverbs...thatโ€™s right in the poemโ€™s current. Glad the imagery and tone resonated with you.

Now, as for your last decent boyfriend from decades ago...at least I share a name with a decent guy! Yay! Whew ๐Ÿ˜… Wish you much better luck. Finding decent anyone anymore can be tricky. Anywho, thanks again, my friend. โšก๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿ”ฅ

So true Tristan love is never a surrender but instead an invasion that takes all that it encounters not by force but by conversion. A most lovely write

This is written with passion, you feel it the words. Love is like an invading army, storms in and conquers, but if you want it to last, you have to adapt and change along the way relinquishing some of that initial control, great write, Artist At Work, enjoyed

A stunningly crafted acrostic that feels both timely and timeless. The imagery crackles with intensityโ€”'burning lightning blue' stayed with meโ€”and the message lands with weight and clarity. Itโ€™s not just a reckoning, but a call to rise above the chaos through truth and love. A bold, lyrical revelation in every sense. Very well written dearest Tittu ๐ŸŒน A fave for sure!!!!

                              Hello, Tristan,

Short, sharp, shock and the power of love in a poem to catch the reader head on and demand - 'live love'. Your poetry is so energetic, an old bard like me could lose weight just reading it. Excellent, my fine fellow.

                              Fond regards,

                              Tony.

                              • Tristan Robert Lange

Thank you, Tony! I am humbled by your analysis and so very glad that the poem delivered. I am glad that you are finding it energetic and enjoyable, as the two do not always go hand in hand. Again, I am so humbled by your kind words and grateful for you, my friend! ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›
