Spencer Wilhelm

Notice of absence from Spencer Wilhelm
The Mennonites might be on to something...
I'll be taking one year off away from my devices to be with the Lord. Pray for me

Laughs

Genuine as the pain in my arms and my legs.

I guess too in my ribs, from when I was hit

hard with baseball straight through my mitt.

But blinking past tears all while grinning away,

I'm blessed to have friends such to spend a whole day.

So thank you dear Lord, and thank you again

That all of these men to me you now did send.

The recognition that with the blessing of rain comes a little mud. Very nicely written this poem speaks of the tradeoff of friendship with some pain that accompanies it. Very nice and a fave for the metaphor

    Hello, Spencer,

When in pain there is no greater medicine than companionship as you have succinctly and tenderly expressed in this very fine poem of yours. Thank you very much for sharing. You have upped my mood to a state of contentment.

    Kind regards,

    Tony.
