Let it go

sorenbarrett

Blame a deceitful game to ascribe shame to other than our own name
A defense at another's expense demanding recompence for the offence
When tis we that should see the travesty of our own responsibility
Judge not they say, think not to repay but let decay words another did say
Expect no satisfactions for their actions, no retractions for infractions
Let there be no condemnation. Without vindication there is liberation and self salvation

Your language read out loud is a rap and made me chuckle, never a truer word said my dear sorrenbarret, your wisdom and indirect advice is sparkling in this. 🌹 🀭

Although rap is out of my age group it does not prevent me from enjoying some from time to time and recognizing that as an art form rap has some very good poetic lines. Loose yourself by Eminem is one that I have listened to especially a cover of it by Kasey Chambers. I\'m still not too old to experiment with new rhyme schemes. Thanks so much for the read and kind words my friend

Blame to easy to apportion by those refusing to except responsibility for their own actions. If you cannot be honest with yourself, how can others ever trust you, enjoyed the read

Soren, this is steady moral clarity…a call to drop the weight of blame and find freedom in release. The rhymes give it a measured, almost meditative cadence. Well done, my friend. A very strong poem. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›

I wonder about the philosophical aspect of the text ,but I appreciate the elegance of the word !

I see what you mean, Soren with reference to my poem, Sweet Forgiveness. The same message but on different sides of the fence. We old bards think alike - hahaha! That said, this is far superior, in depth, intellect and poetic expression. You are a master observer of life, so, too, to render forth your pronouncements with poetic flair, most admirable indeed.

                        Your fellow poet and friend,

                        Tony.

Your poem powerfully illuminates the liberating theme of personal responsibility, revealing the profound freedom that emerges from releasing the burdens of blame and resentment. It wisely suggests that while it may be tempting to project our shortcomings onto others, true empowerment and self-salvation arise from courageously acknowledging our own faults and graciously refraining from judgment. The poem serves as a radiant reminder to the reader to focus on personal growth and the transformative importance of releasing negative emotions associated with judgment and blame, cultivating a healthier and more enlightened mindset.
