The Descendant of Dereliction

Tristan Robert Lange

Justice is never blind—
Unnerving the haughty hiders—
Destruction is dereliction’s descendant,
Glorified by those gorging on
Maggot bread; the rot spreads,
Engulfing all of the enamored.
Nemesis’ arrival will not be forlorn;
The day is coming; nay, it’s here.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is the sixth vision in The Book of Tittu — a cycle of eight poems bound by a single, unflinching voice. Here, the reckoning arrives not as a whisper of someday but as a verdict already in motion. Justice sees, corruption feasts, and the rot spares none. Nemesis stands at the threshold, and the door is already open.
