albeit I seem to subscribe to Peter Pan.
Oh, I'm Certain I Grew Up
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCXXVI)
It's Daddy's birthday for the fifth year hence
Since he joined Mum, looks rainy, light half frail,
Faint mem'ries of the last one we'd regale
Him haunting, like to give a note of sense,
And I am whistling to which strains from thence?
Strauss' Tales From The Vienna Woods to scale,
Whilst Peter has a ball within t'avail
That oersized worn dress I still don. And whence?
They had a flick back in the eighties fer
The unsaved: You've Been Left Behind. I do
Know that is not the name, yet how in tour
That line from Larry Norman's music to
Effect fits both that movie's sense as twere,
And mine, who waits, oh LORD, for home with You.

[So did my late father.]
Oh, But I Love to Eat
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMXXDCVII)
Oh, what for lunch?! We could have that detail
Of hot dawgs and baked beans, or how 'bout thence
Those beef and bean burritos?! We 'gree thence,
All three of us, the latter's best, to scale.
But our beef's flavoured: Worcestershire sauce t'avail
And whole shrooms won't like taco seas'ning, whence
Lo, jackpot! Chili seas'ning, cumin dense
In all we cherished, cheese too, and we've bail!
One batch, that's all, yet it's so tasty! were
There want another day, we'll need to do
It fresh. Load my burritos til in poor
'Scuse they can hardly roll, but taste grand too!
Throw extra shredded cheese on top, bestir
Thanks to Thee, LORD, for all anon's of You.

M'hm [the movie released in 2024 has horrendous discrepancies]
Which Kissing Scene Did You Prefer?
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCXXVIII)
Is't craven to watch movies? Scribble hence
Or lose us in some pretty dream t'avail
The wasting minutes? Just one?! which detail?
A remake of an old one, love, death, whence?
But they'll kiss at the close. Try that pretense
Of newer, and it's far too stupid, frail
As pretty trimmings. Love and romance hail
With Amish bent and small town like's defense.
If I invited Robert, he'll come fer
All that long after bedtime, and sleep too
Where I'll add one more movie like's not poor.
Give him a triple Moon Pie saved to do
Him good, and old juice when he's thirsty. Stir
Us off to bed lo, after midnight. You?

I am not so sure but I feel that kissing scenes are more a woman thing. As for food well that I believe to go either way. A fun read Chic
I always seem to leave your pages gagging for more .. now I so need to know what a triple moon pie looks like, tastes like and how to make em .. pretty please
Mine are packaged and boxed, never ever tried the experiment of crafting them. I'll try to email you photos. Thank you very much!
I love banana moon pie๐enjoy your read.
Aha! Thank you, thank you!
That touch about Strauss and Tales From the Vienna Woods really struck me, Missy. The way you weave music into memory gives the moment such depth. Beautifully written. ๐น๐ค๐๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฆ๐ฆโโฌ
And I was planning to use that one for the post excepting if hadn't been for my dad, I'd never have appreciated Sheheherazade, so in memory of him I did that one. Thank you so, so very much!
Ooh. Here's to your dad's memory, my friend! You are most welcome!
