but that's what it is. [When we were small and playing tag, we could find refuge from "it" by hiding by our mothers or fathers--that's how Tigger is treating me of late.]
Day After Has An Ugly Ring to It
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCXXIX)
Up craz'ly til was't half past midnight, frail
As being too tired ere that, they're bouncing hence
Off of the walls 'fore I'm awake, e'en thence
Lo, knocking what down in the bathtub? They'll
Skulk when my eyes are shut, to run t'avail
Beneath my legs where I'm half up, defense
Such as I knew in childhood hers fr'intents,
Til Peter must wait til I'm up for bail.
Oh, Barry's fin'lly where the kitchen fer
All that is tidied up frae last night to
This morning, brie for flavour where in tour
They shall not steal a bite is't? Fry eggs, two
For each of us, brioche toast, hash, bestir
No fruit, Canad'an bacon. I thank You.

I'm collecting opinions unless someone has an answer.
Miscellaneous Bits and Pieces
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCXXX)
How Peter's purring lately, like fr'intents
He thinks I'm halfway safe where aught detail
When my back's turned seems to be sans avail
Half changing. They are growing up, and whence
Has yet t'unfold itself. Fresh coffee hence
I shall sip warm, to find I do regale
Me thus when it is fresh. Guess I don't fail
Where Dad was tough on that point. I've defense?
Yet wherefore is their water bowl astir
When he comes for a drink? He's batting to
Effect the bowl til water's spilt in poor
'Scuse, and I've a mess to clean. What's to do?
He gets behind it, paws it 'round in tour
And maunt be satisfied. LORD, save us too.

Yes I agree the phrase day after has an ominous feel to it, either something bad marked the day or if it was something good it is now past. A fun read Chic
Enjoy your read, now I would like a Fresh cup of coffee.😊
Wish I could have the privilege of crafting and serving you just that. Thank you very much!
That was one helluva event by all accounts .. hope the day after lived up to the day before's expectations and there was no comedown or anti-climax .. I gotta feeling we may find out tho' sooner or later .. but I gotta ask before sayin ciao was that duck bacon or Canadian? Askin for a friend you understand .. Neville
Ham, last I checked. So thinly sliced you can try to call it semi-opaque, and only avaliable for warming, unless you want to ruin it, I guess. I slept in longer than I'd intended thanks to being up until 1am, and the fun was past as I should have reckoned this morning seeing Wednesdays have become what most folks call Mondays. Anywho, thank you so very much!!!
That image of Tigger darting beneath your legs like a child seeking refuge really struck me. You frame their mischief with tenderness, Missy. Beautifully done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🦇🐦⬛
Aww, you're too kind! Thank you so very much, and she does do that of late.
Aww! You are most welcome, my dear friend!
