Don't Stand so Close

Thomas W Case

Listen here, miss crazy,
Every Breath I Take, my soul
screams, Don't Stand so Close
to Me.  I want to escape.
Maybe to an Island, where
the only contact with your
madness will be by a
Message in a Bottle.

So please, Roxanne, for the
last time, there was no
Synchronicity between us.
Haunt someone else with
your Ghost in the Machine.
The mumbo jumbo and your
Do Do Do, Da Da Da.
no longer works.

I gather you would like to move on, if that is acceptable to Roxanne.... or even perhaps if it's ......

Now this one came out of nowhere. An unknown woman in this poem. Mystery person. Love the way that this one just takes off with no introduction.

Lol. A little fun with the group, The Police.

    • Tristan Robert Lange

This was a fun ride, my friend…threading titles and lyrics into something sharp and biting. Cleverly done and it flows smooth. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🦇🐦‍⬛

LOL I love this it's also got the police vibes. Superb and very original I'll be singing all day, send Roxanne to me, I'll be entertained and entertaining. 🤣

Beautifully eloquent with excellent imagery and a damning, haunting, vibrant poignancy. Thank you for sharing.
