Unicorns Day

Poetic Dan

There once was a unicorn that didn't know what to do

It had amazing powers that no one believe to be true

As the light inside erupted all the things around it bloomed

While others around it sniggered and moved along their way

Not this special unicorn! It would just stay and sway

If it was to move it would skip, dance and play

Day after day unicorn would feel the pressure to do as others do

Others would constantly say it couldn't do what it felt to be true

Each whisper became an echo that they let blow right through

Luckily for this unicorn something was happening

Each time it didn't listen to what it felt it shouldn't do

A few of the others were secretly learning all of its moves

Before the unicorn knew it that moment had finally come

The sound of the few turned into the many ready for the fun

They played, skipped and dance in puddles through the sun

Leaving arched colours in the sky

Ready for all that will one day fly
