Soon to be Home.

Friendship

This life we live, a gentle, fleeting grace,
A wayside stop, along a timeless way,
A brief sweet pause, in this enchanted space,
Before we journey to eternal day.

Through varied lands, our different paths unfold,
Each soul to learn the lessons meant for it,
No earthly anchor meant to truly hold,
Our spirits destined for a higher fit.

A grander home awaits beyond our sight,
A destination vast, beyond compare,
Some journeys swift, some bathed in softer light,
As measured steps lead us to meet Him there.

And when the final earthly moment's done,
A great reward, a peace beyond all thought,
An everlasting rest, forever won,
Together with the Lord, sincerely sought.

A long journey to a destination long anticipated. I have learned through many trips to enjoy the scenery along the way for it is often the best part. A most enchanting write my friend.
