I Rather Prefer Klondike Original

Cheeky Missy

Not me.

Who's Laughing Now?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCXL)

She wishes me safe driving home and thence
Five miles from home I'm falling off sans bail
To sleep til I'll be thankful to avail
Me of my g'rage, so sleepy, walking hence
Back I'm half fading, like, what is't fr'intents?!
Change and lie down, but Peter and to scale
Sweet Tigger wonder why?! Ergo, though frail,
Wash up their bowls. Then fall asleep til whence?
I told myself "til nine," and sure 'nough, what'd stir
Me wake, I do not know; now he's up too,
Craft french toast on brioche bread, hash in tour
Warmed with the egg mix, bacon on top, to
Not eat but showr and lie down like's not poor.
Thy mercies new each morn, LORD, I thank You.

Ya.

Is't Never A Dull Moment?

(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCXLI)

She climbs into my lap where I'd avail
Me of a bit of breakfast, that fr'intents
Naught in a trice; so I shall showr, and thence
How Peter shortly follows to derail
That in a jiffy, as they play to scale,
The tub what? that they're keen on't til from hence
I half despair, yes; showr with Tigger, whence?
Oh, twixt the curtains. Peter next sans bail.
Who joins me on the couch when napping fer
A couple hours at last? Where Robert'd cue,
How Tigger plays with his shoe laces, her
Game he demurs; she walks the counters to
Espy, and snags a bit on their food. Stir
Me out the door, and, LORD, how I thank You.
