Oh no!

Aa Harvey

Oh no!

Love songs are better when you have someone to love.

You understand them so much more when you have someone to touch.

They seem to speak those words you just don’t know how to say.

They make you smile because they make you smile,

What more is there to say?

Love songs have two stories.

Good or bad are absolutes.

Falling in love or breaking up.

Songs only speak the creators truth.

In their meaning you find your own.

The poet’s sing of being alone,

And then you are found and everything changes.

What is evolution, if not rearranging,

The parts into a prettier picture?

When you see her, tell her I miss her.

Then tell her my name with a vivid description.

Oh, did I mention we are yet to have that conversation,

But feelings erupt even before the crescendo.

The story isn’t written, yet we plan for the end, oh.

Oh woe please leave, you are not needed right now.

My head is in the clouds, let tomorrow bring me down,

For right now I’m writing on auto,

I have no time for you silly oh no’s!

She’s not yet a Yoko,

So please let me smile solo.

Ah the plus's' and minus of having someone. Love poems and songs are indeed based on the black and white of lost and found, good or bad. Nicely said
