I hunger for your slow, sinuous
Arms sliding around my body;
Feeling my every part
With your ever loving touch.
The hunger that has been with me
Since you first came into my life.
My body reaching out to your
Many and varied incarnations.
The thrashing hunger of those times;
Just you and me, joined together,
In the absolute harmony of love,
With and within each other.
The hunger, wanting more and more
Of your never ending and ever changing ways;
That turns emotion into physicality,
Which never fails to touch my many parts.
The hunger will always be there;
My love for you will never end;
My life loving you forever,
Today Bach, tomorrow maybe Pink Floyd.
Music, always in my life.

In the nickelodeon
All I want is having you
And music, music, music"
Instant recall, Andy - many thanks. As a bonus I enjoyed the sensuality.

You are most welcome Andy
This poem unfolds like a love letter to music itself: sensual, devotional, and lifelong. It borrows the language of physical intimacy to describe an artistic and emotional connection, turning listening into a full‑body experience. The closing line, leaping from Bach to Pink Floyd, captures the joy of range; how the same soul can be fed by baroque precision one day and psychedelic expanse the next. It’s an ode to versatility, and to the idea that music isn’t just a pastime, but a constant, evolving love affair. It leaves the sense that this “hunger” isn’t meant to be satisfied once and for all but it’s meant to keep pulling you toward the next note, the next discovery.
Such very true words Rik, I am still discovering new music and new musicians. Thank you.
