walnut, I'm guessing.
What Kind of Nutshell, Eh?
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCLVIII)
I'm trying the caffeine after hours thing hence,
And is't the reason I was not sans bail,
Nor far too sleepy driving home? I'm frail,
But can pull off the dishes, crafting thence
Our breakfast of jist eggs and porridge (sense
Now keen on losing weight) where that detail
Of bacon's thin Canad'an bacon, trail
To yonder full of potholes sans defense.
Yet, serve it up and read the Bible, stir
Me to a couple bites, and I'll yield to
Fatigue, lie down nor nap, but rest in tour
All day, til where the clock sez ev'ning'd cue
I take the car to JetBrite; but that's fer
Another stanza. LORD, how I thank You.

Wow. Just WOW.
I Truly Never Dreamed
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCLIX)
There's hopes and dreams, fine plans which would detail
Our time and parse out what shall happen, thence
Derailed, crashed, to be drawn up in a sense
Out of our sight, til oh! what joys avail!
Give up on Robert's coming oer, too frail
Myself; call Cynthya to chat driving, hence
In happy convo to Panera, whence
The world turns on its side to grant sweet bail.
I'll park as wont, and line up to as twere
Back in, 'cept who comes out and running?! Who
Goes back in for my drink?! If I'd in tour
Been later or e'en early, this ado
Would ne'er have been. My timing poor,
LORD, this is all of Thee! How I thank You!

Talk about speechless.
I Don't Know What to Say
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCLX)
Oh me! The sight of Robert. How aught thence
Turned upside-down to grant us, and avail
Us of a party where I'd dreamed, to fail.
No words suffice for seeing him, as defense
Beyond my wildest dreams now rises hence
Up to unfold a priceless chance, where bail
Is mine in just a trice, as aught detail
Arranges what would else be mere pretense.
We'll have the beef spiced up on rolls in tour,
And with huge wedges of tomato to
Add freshness on the side, as Hallmark's cure
For romance shows the rich girl marrying too
The poor boy. I drove him here, home fer
All that, else naught'd have been. LORD, I thank You.

On the other hand it has been two months.
But, But It's Only Been Two Months
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMMDCLXIII)
We're breakfasting as they pull off sans bail
Their mischief; stop to fix it and what hence?!
He tells me, "there's a cat out on fr'intents
The deck." (I think I'll have three now) that detail
A fright as how did Tigger get out?! Frail
As I may be, step out and tell her thence
To go back in, where Peter paws sans sense
The screen, their catnip mouse outside. What'd fail?!
How, after all this time, did they in poor
'Scuse ope the door and get loose?! Now where to?!
They don't wear collars. How shall we demur
Their leaving? Have the fresh Fall air which'd woo
In coolness now? What shall I do?! Bestir
What? LORD, Thy mercies boundless, save us: You.

- Comment from author about the poem: [She got out on the deck 2X that day, terrifying me with the implications. A week later they're both collared and the screen door lock has supposedly been repaired.] Enjoy.

Persistence is key
What a fun surprise! Thank you very much!!
Another good set of sonnets Chic and I like you don't know what else to say
...And now you've said all this, despite the title! lol.
Hahaha!
The poem revolves around a moment of chaos and concern regarding the poet’s cats escaping outdoors. It captures the anxiety of pet ownership and the unexpected troubles that arise from a seemingly mundane situation. The poet includes themes of responsibility, the fleeting nature of safety, and the connection between humans and their pets.
It does, in one stanza. Thank you, thank you!!
Some fine pieces, Missy. Thanks for sharing.
Aww, rather, thank you!
