Telly Detectives

Kevin Hulme

Notice of absence from Kevin Hulme
Back after the advents .

There's a Police Photographer from Way Back,

That no Criminal of worth would like on their track.

He Sucked a small Lolly and had a Bald Head,

With a 'Who Loves Ya Baby' and a  'Coochie Coo' said.

And was known by the name of  Theo Kodak.

A cheeky nod to 1970s TV nostalgia, this light‑footed rhyme swaps Kojak’s homicide beat for a camera’s flash, turning Telly Savalas’s bald‑headed, lollipop‑sucking sleuth into “Theo Kodak,” a police photographer no crook would want tailing them. With its singsong rhymes, catchphrase callbacks, and punning name, it works like a quick snapshot; instantly recognisable, warmly irreverent, and grinning at its own wordplay. Such fun traipsing down memory lane 🕊️🙏🏻

I also remember the song he 'Talked ' through: 'If'. Glad you liked it.

You have to be a certain age to remember Telly Savalas as Kojak and the play on Kodak works well here. Fun read

Thank you. In the U.K. Television is usually abbreviated to 'Telly'. So that was a double meaning as a Nod to the Actor.
        Thank you for Reading.

That's right I had missed that but it makes total sense. You are most welcome
