Morning Beautiful

Aa Harvey

Morning Beautiful

Morning beautiful.

What did you say?

I was unable to hear,

As I was lost in your spheres,

Like I have been for a thousand years.

And if you ever need me near,

I’ll be right here with open ears.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This song was inspired by a YouTube Music Video Love Song that has a father talking to his deaf daughter through sign language and calls her 'Morning Beautiful'. If anyone knows the video I am talking about, please let me know as it inspired this poem and I would like to find it to add to this poem. All I can remember is it is probably a male singer like Lewis Capaldi, Ed Sheeran, Lukas Graham or someone like that...

I have not heard it but it seems a beautiful concept and reminds me of a video by Lara Fabian Je suis de toi that is close to this theme and I highly recomend you watch it. Watch the video not just her album song.

I don't speak French and I know no Sign Language apart from 'Thank you', but it's a beautiful song, with a beautiful story and I could understand the story without knowing all the words. I guess it's poetic in that way. Thank you.

“lost in your spheres, like I have been for a thousand years” dreamy, timeless love imagery.
The repetition of listening “open ears”emphasizes devotion and presence. This is beautiful.
