Walking My Own Path

Tom Dylan

Notice of absence from Tom Dylan
Sorry if there is a delay in responses. Sometimes life gets in the way. As John Lennon said, life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

I am trying to walk my own path,

barefoot through the dirt,

avoiding the boot prints and tyre tracks.

I’m trying to walk my own path,

humming to myself a half-remembered tune,

while others sing to me at the top of their voices.

I am trying to walk my own path,

meandering though flaming autumn meadows

rather than hallowed university halls.

I am trying to walk my own path,

one word, one sentence, one story,

one poem, at a time.
