Greed a seed that spouts selfish roots
They feed on what others bleed, growing isolation's shoots
Leaves that deceive, compassion lost in shade of insensitivity
Withers stem's part, containing the heart of collectivity
Misunderstood the good of individuality
Values like leaves fall, in lust's sprawl of brutality
Plagued by leaf's rust of lack of trust, fallen branches of faith
No blossom bloomed, its fruit consumed as hope turned a wraith

Very nice 🙏
Thank you so much Rebellion I appreciate your stopping by and your support.
The central idea of the poem revolves around the destructive nature of greed and selfishness, which undermine community and compassion. It contrasts individuality with the collective good, highlighting how self-serving actions can lead to isolation and a loss of trust. The subject matter delves into the metaphor of a plant growing from a seed of greed, illustrating how negative traits can stifle growth and hope, ultimately resulting in despair.
Thank you so much for your read and interpretation of this poem. Greed a basic human trait that focuses on individual survival and undermines community and like a weed grows without need of nurturing care. Your words are most appreciated
