Notice of absence from Tom Dylan
Sorry if there is a delay in responses. Sometimes life gets in the way. As John Lennon said, life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.

I was having such a bad week.
Everything was going wrong.
Had life always been this hard?
I needed a strong cup of tea,
a lie down in a dark room,
I needed a cold beer
with a whiskey chaser.
I turned on the television,
found the channel I was looking for.
I rubbed my hands together
in anticipation.
My wife came home a short while later.
Before I could grab the remote control
and change the channel,
she pointed at the TV screen in disgust.
Really? I thought you were done with all that!
I was, I am. I insisted, my cheeks burning red
in shame and embarrassment.
I switched the TV off, the offending images
turned to black.
She shook her head.
You and the bloody wrestling!

Mud wrestling?π
Haha! I put the twist at the end and you twisted it back! π
So long as I haven't put a knot in it.....π
We all have a child in us even when we have grown up. Nothing wrong with a child inside or out. A fun read Tom
Thanks a lot, Soren. Really appreciate your comments as always.
You are most welcome
Tom, this is comic timing at its finest. The bad week, the shame, the tension buildingβ¦and then the twist with wrestling hits perfectly. Relatable, funny, and so well done. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
Haha! I was smiling as I was writing this one. Glad it worked for the reader too and not just in my head. π Thanks for your comments, mate. Really appreciated.
Fun words Tom, we all have our weaknesses.
