Fire & Smoke

Fína Elara 🌙 Petra Patrice

Fire and Smoke

Fire and smoke — I can’t inhale anymore.
It’s toxic here; I can’t bear the thought.
A lifelong threat to body and soul,
Internal organs damaged, destroyed.

I can’t breathe — fresh air is gone.
How can one survive when no one cares?
This poison gives cancer, stage three now,
And only now you act like it means something
When it never truly did.

Precautions taken too late. A sad story of demise due to lack of care. Whether one's own or those around them all the same. A good write.

This piece sears…the fire, the poison, the suffocation, and the belated concern that stings even more. It’s raw testimony, equal parts lament and accusation. Beautifully done. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
